Just about everyday I put on a nice pair of pants, dress pants, and a fantastic tie and head out to teach students age 5 to 13, grades K thru 8.   I am a substitute teacher and I get the unthankful job of filling in for teachers who are sick, at weddings, on vacations, at funerals, or just don't feel like showing up.

Since 2004 I've worked in hundreds of classrooms and have seen so many students, I don't even bother to learn their names anymore.  Actually it's a great gig.  I wish I could sub forever, but there's no benefits really with a job like that and you are always the most expendable person.  Some school districts are great to work for while others kinda suck.

Currently, I work for three these great districts.

It's a really rewarding job most of the time.  By now, just about everyone knows me and the students are always pleased to see me.  All I need to do is be careful that no one takes what I say out of context.  I tend to be a lot of fun in class and there is never a day when I'm boring.
